Aishwarya Rai begins to lose mummy flab

Published

Recently, the world's attention has mostly been diverted from Aishwarya's weighty criticisms, to Aaradhya's 'strawberry' 'brown-eyed' looks and whether her parents are falling over themselves in a bid to keep her hidden away from the prying eyes of the media, and, therefore, the world.

The hue and cry over Aaradhy'a 'cute' looks has taken the limelight from Aishwarya's allegedly excess weight. But Emirates 24|7 took a closer look at Aishwarya's recent appearances.

Starting from the 'double chinned' image flashed at Mukhesh Ambani's high-profile party, to Aishwarya's appearance in Dubai World Cup, to her walking down the red carpet in Cannes, to her attending a Bvlgari event in London and finally being spotted taking a stroll during her holiday in London with her daughter in tow.

The Aishwarya watchers definitely saw a common thread through the series of images. She has been LOSING weight! The excess flab from her face has certainly gone down and she seems to be losing the mummy-look steadily (thus, making it easier to maintain in the long run).

Now that Aaradhya is more than six months old and is not completely dependent on her mother, Aishwarya probably has a little time to devote to herself, like any other mother.

So, the question that arises here is: Is Aishwarya gearing up slowly to get back to work and don the warpaint? If so, when?

Before the barrage of questions follow in the fans' mind, it would be prudent to mention here that Aishwarya has repeatedly claimed that motherhood is her top priority and she has no immediate plans to return to films.

However, according to the Bollywood grapevine, Aishwarya has principally agreed to now work in a film with a filmmaker known to get actresses doing different roles on the big screen.

She had been reading several scripts even before the baby was born, but stopped after Aaradhya’s birth. And now after reading scripts all over again, she has zeroed in on this director who she feels will do a lot of justice to her talent and beauty and also has picked a script which she can work on even as she plays mom to the little one.

Her decision to get back into shape at this stage might have something to do with the fact that recently she was completely left out of a poll conducted by Indian television channel NDTV of the most popular Bollywood actresses of all time to celebrate Indian cinema's 100 glorious years.

Aishwarya certainly does not want to be a case of out of sight, out of mind of producers'.
