When Madhuri Dixit decided to make a second comeback in Bollywood, she made it as the brand ambassador of a food channel.

Now it seems Khiladi Kumar also plans to do the same, albeit to quench his thirst for action. Akshay Kumar has turned brand ambassador for an upcoming action channel.

Says the original ‘Desi Boyz’, “Everyone knows that I am an action-loving person. Since the start of my career, I have done my own stunts.  But for the past 5-6 years, I have not done any such films. So I feel that with this channel I can once again return be a part of action-oriented shows. I am still very young and there are a lot of such acts, which will come my way.”

Always high on energy, Akshay reminisces his school days. He says, “I was a champion in sports. I was very good at badminton, cricket and volleyball. Such were my energy levels that I soon earned the nickname ‘Rocket’.”

In fact Akshay’s son Aarav too has taken over some of his dad’s love for action. Says the proud dad, “My son has been bouncing off the walls, which is good for him as it builds good character, butbad for the wallpapers in my house. But then, who wants a dull kid?! I even have a gift for him now-- a gym complete with a ladder and rope, just in case he wants to be on a higher level. It was awarded the best gym by the Olympics in 2009.”

And while Akki lives by the ‘conquer all’ policy, the one place even the star concedes defeat is while competing with women.

He says, “I believe women are much stronger than men, and they have always proved that. They are always alert and careful. At times when a man weakens, it is a woman who comes ahead and takes charge.

As for Bollywood, I can’t really favour one actress as the best.”However talk action films and the actor doesn’t feel the pinch of being low on the genre: “There are no fights in the industry for a particular title. We are not horses in a race. We make films so that the industry moves ahead. Every actor has his own films, and does what he thinks he is best at.”

But having said that, Akshay doesn’t miss warning his fans against trying his stunts at home: “I have done many stunts, some of them really unnerving. But that was good fear. We always have two kinds of fear in us--good and bad. So if you like to do a stunt, do it and remove your fears, but remember to be focused. Practice and then perform.”
