Bollywood's skeletons out: Kajol reveals all

Mumbai film fraternity thronged at the ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ (JTHJ) premiere; while many of the leading ladies of Yash Chopra films were seen sashaying down the red carpet, one prominent face was missing - Kajol.

Speculations were rife about Kajol's attendance at the premiere much before the final guest list was drawn.

Now the real reason behind her absence is revealed. And it goes back to husband Ajay Devgn’s 'Bol Bachchan'. It is alleged that Kajol was extremely upset when YRF had demanded Rs5 lakh from Ajay as a charge of using a certain section of their famous 'Kajra Re' song.

Ajay agreed to pay the amount but YRF hiked the sum to Rs25 lakh for the 90-second sequence. This did not go down well with Kajol especially since she had done numerous appearances and cameos in their films free of charge.

Kajol was again dragged in the tussle between Yash Raj Films and husband Ajay who slammed a case against YRF for using its dominant market position to give more screen space to 'JTHJ' as against 'Son Of Sardaar'.

Initially Kajol decided to stay quiet on the controversy but could not hold on for long. While in Dubai she extended her support to husband Ajay in his fight with YRF saying, "I'm supporting 'Son of Sardaar', it is my film; it is my home production."

After all these incidents Kajol would have been in a dilemma over attending the premiere. However, she was not given that chance. Yash Chopra's family did not invite her for the event!

Ajay insisted that it is a war over who is right and who is wrong, by not inviting Kajol matters have turned worse. He felt that Kajol had nothing to do with it.

Kajol gave Yash Raj Films the biggest hit ever since its inception.

A certain Indian daily had earlier reported that Kajol made a sly entry, avoiding the media and using the back entrance. But Kajol's sister Tanishaa had a different story to tell on Twitter.

Quoting the article she replied, "lol!Did they clone her?#checkurfacts (sic)." "i find it hard to believe since she was home with me:) #checkurfacts", she continued.

When ‘Emirates24|7’ wanted a confirmation from Tanishaa if the story in the daily was false, she wrote back, "truth will always win! #checkurfacts".

Condemning Yash Raj Films, Tanishaa retweeted a fan’s tweet, which read: “Kajol was da leading lady of DDLJ.... we condemn such shameful act decide by rani, srk, yash ji family, uday and adi(sic)”.

Ajay Devgn did not mince his words either on the issue and told MidDay, “Yes, Kajol was not seen at the premiere as she was not invited.”
