Bump or not, Ash's baby shower a grand affair

There were showers of blessing for the lovely mother-to-be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her baby shower on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan was at the helm of affairs organising the ceremony and daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda was right behind helping the event to be a grand celebration.

The baby shower which took place in their Mumbai residence Jalsa, saw a host of Bollywood celebrities attend the occasion.

Both Jaya and Shweta had separate guest list which included relatives, friends and colleagues from Bollywood fraternity.

Shweta Bachchan Nanada played the hostess welcoming the guests to the likes of Sussanne Roshan, Gauri Khan, Sridevi, Sonali Bendre, Manyata Dutt, Mana Shetty, Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, among others.

The bevy of guests in the baby shower came dressed in traditional attire, dazzling the occasion in their designer outfits.

Twinkle Khanna looked stunning in her white-and-orange suit.

Designer Neeta Lulla wore a blue sari while daughter Nishika opted for an orange outfit.

Stunning Bipasha Basu wore a beautiful netted pink and white churidar.

Shweta Nanda couldn't stop smiling while she looked to be in festive mood in her multi-coloured ensemble.

Urmila Matondkar, Neelam, Anu Dewan and Mana Shetty brought sparkle in the celebration groomed in traditional suits.

Among the guests were also veteran actress Asha Parekh, Babita Kapoor, Saira Bano and Dimple Kapadia. Satrughna Sinha's wife Poonam Sinha, choreographer Saroj Khan, Jeetendra's wife Shobha Kapoor also joined in the ceremony to bless Aishwarya.

Close friend Karan Johar was also spotted attending the ceremony.

Abhishek Bachchan was also there looking gleeful and receiving guests. He wrote in the micro-blogging page, juniorbachchan: "Good morning everyone. Thank you so much for all the wishes for Aishwarya on her Godh Bharai. Read out some of your messages to her."

Amitabh Bachchan is missing all the excitement as he is busy shooting for 'Great Gatsby' in Australia.
