The online universe went in to overdrive as this picture, released by Indian TV channel E24 claimed to be the first close-up of Aaradhya Bachchan, daughter of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.

Several news sites, blogs and entertainment channels re-published the picture taken by an E24 lensman, which captures, at best, one eye of the Amitabh Bachchan’s grand-daughter.

There was no confirmation from the Bachchan’s as to whether this was indeed Aaradhya. However, nor was there any denial.

Ever since her birth in November last year, only a few people outside the immediate family have been fortunate to get an up-close glimpse of the strawberry-cheeked Aaradhya Bachchan, the darling of Bollywood's number one family.

Aishwarya has already been termed 'overcautious' by her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan.

Oprah Winfrey, Shah Rukh Khan and a few others were fortunate enough to get visiting rights to the Bachchan household. Others have had to depend on either Amitabh Bachchan's tweets or Jaya Bachchan's 'strawberry' remarks to figure out what Aishwarya's daughter looks like.

Recently, Madhuri Dixit joined the select few to have had access to the toddler.

During the shoot of an episode of dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’, Abhishek Bachchan showed Madhuri, who is one of the judges on the show, his daughter's image, which was tucked away inside his wallet. Abhishek appeared on the show to promote his upcoming film 'Bol Bachchan'.

Madhuri was simply awestruck by Aaradhya's beauty when she got a glimpse of the toddler. She exclaimed 'wow' loud enough for all to be able to hear her on the sets.

Going by Madhuri's reaction, one would assume that Aaradhya has inherited her mother's famous looks.
