Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her husband, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, are set to match steps on the dance reality show "Nach Baliye 5".
The tennis player had a relatively good year in the court and the cricketer is blazing on the field in his current India tour.
With their current form it looks like the sports couple is ready to take on any challenge, be it the dance floor.
Sania and Shoaib will be on dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 as special guest couple for an episode or two.
But there is slight snag - Sania says she has two left feet and cannot dance, she only hopes she does a decent enough job.
The only time she danced was during the 'Sangeet' ceremony of her wedding where she got all disarrayed trying to remember the steps and co-ordinate with Shoaib.
Though she is skeptical about her skill, Sania is confident about Shoaib's talent and hopes he makes it up for the two. Shoaib apparently is a good dancer and loves dancing.
Shy Sania is determined to do her best and is going through the grind. She has been practicing rigorously to put her acts together.
So much so that she practices her dance moves more than her tennis strokes. A couple of days ago Sania tweeted: "Started the day at 5.30 in the morning, 2 hours of practice followed by a 11 hour shoot for nach baliye..Its safe to say I am exhausted!!!"
Phew!! That's too much of hard work for a guest performance.
During the shoot both husband and wife performed on one romantic song in which there were a couple of lifts and swirls. Since Sania doesn't consider herself a good dancer they had to practice for few days.
They will join eleven other celebrity couples on "Nach Baliye", which is set to go on air on Star Plus December 29.
Well-known couples from the television industry have been brought together for the fifth season which will be judged by actress Shilpa Shetty, director Sajid Khan and ace choreographer Terence Lewis.
