SRK, Katrina starrer is 'Kabhie Kabhie' sequel?

Yash Chopra's as yet untitled film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be a kind of sequel to his 70s blockbuster Kabhie Kabhie.

With this romantic film, Yash Chopra marks his comeback as a director. Some of the most romantic films that Yash Chopra has ever directed include Daag, Silsila, Kabhie Kabhie and Chandni. He hopes to rekindle that kind of magic in his forthcoming film.

If certain media reports are to be believed, Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor will carry forward the characters, Vicky Khanna and Pinky Kapoor, that they had played in the 1976 classic film, Kabhie Kabhie.

In Kabhie Kabhie, the veteran actors had danced around trees to the romantic tunes of 'Tere chehre se nazar nahin hat-ti' and 'Tera phoolon jaisa rang'. The evergreen melodies were composed by Khayyam. The SRK starrer will most likely be composed by AR Rahman.

Rishi Kapoor told The Times of India that while he and his wife Neetu will be in London soon to shoot their bits in the film, he refused to give away any more secrets. Although he did mention that he and his wife Neetu are honoured at being offered their roles and it is their way of paying respect to the filmmaker.(TIMES OF INDIA)
