Why Dubai's Salman Khan mania is costly for Shah Rukh Khan’s UAE fans

Bollywood fans in the UAE are all set to celebrate the National Day on December 2 with none other than Salman 'Dabangg' Khan and 'desi girl'

Priyanka Chopra.

There are also reports that Shah Rukh Khan will set the stage ablaze in Dubai.

But, organisers who are managing the Shah Rukh show are facing a roadblock and are unable to announce the date of the concert.

The hitch comes from none other than SRK himself as he hasn't finalised the date with the organisers.

Essar events who are at the helm of organising the stage-show wanted to hold the Bollywood extravaganza before the Christmas holidays started.

They were keen on narrowing down a date in the mid of December but everything depends on SRK and his production house who hasn't given a go-ahead to lock a date.

Essar events had organised several events for Shah Rukh in the past including the ‘RA.One’ world premiere in Dubai.

Essar had earlier done shows with Shah Rukh-Priyanka and Shah Rukh-Kareena but for the first time will get Katrina with Shah Rukh on stage.

After news of Salman taking SRK’s 'friend' Priyanka Chopra for his show, King Khan has snatched none other than Salman's ex-flame Katrina Kaif.

Katrina’s staff too confirmed that she is actively considering a proposal to perform with Shah Rukh on stage.

Well, we see that the battleground is ready and the swords are drawn but why is SRK delaying the war?

With the Salman Khan-Priyanka Chopra show getting maximum mileage, it is likely that Shah Rukh Khan and team have taken a step backward till the 'Salman Bhai' mania comes down.

And rightly so, as the buzz is that the organisers of Salman show are expecting a sold out crowd of 18,000 strong fans.

Salman will be joined by Zarine Khan, pop star Sophie Chowdhary and Pakistani singer, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Looks like Shah Rukh and team have realised the Salman fever in the Gulf region and wants to play it safe. SRK will not like his show to come at close heels of Salman's and miss out on the craze factor.

In 2008 Shah Rukh Khan's Temptation Reloaded concert held at the Festival City arena had rocked Dubai.

Bollywood King Khan thrilled audience with his dance, dialogues and gave an unprecedented performance with host of other Bollywood biggies like "size-zero" Kareena and "rocking" Arjun Rampal.

SRK for sure would love to reignite the same craze in Dubai this time around.
