Brad Pitt - Angelina to say 'I do' this Saturday?

Preparations for a huge party at the French home of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had sparked speculation that they were secretly preparing to marry coming weekend.

Despite last weekend's furore about the wedding, Mickael Latz, mayor of the nearby village of Correns, has claimed that ‘more likely’ the wedding will take place on Saturday.

“It’s a far more likely date. There are no plans for a civil wedding in Correns this weekend (referring to last Saturday).”

Pitt and Jolie’s engagement was revealed back in April, after seven years and six children together.

Visitors had claimed that they had seen deliveries of food and champagne, a marquee being erected and the 48-year-old actor’s parents arriving at the £35 million Chateau Miraval - sparking speculation that they were planning to tie the knot in secret.

“Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweller is here,” the source said.

Guests’ list apparently includes George Clooney, who is currently a short flight away at his home on Lake Como, Italy, and jewellery designer Robert Procop, who created Jolie’s $250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring.

“There’s a real buzz around the estate,” the source said.

It is believed that the couple will wed in a private chapel in the grounds of their home, with civil ceremonies in France only allowed in town halls.

“We don’t know anything about it,” Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, said.

“Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there’s no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home,” he added.

The bride and the groom have ordered for matching wedding rings.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie probably won’t risk taking their wedding rings off – not after commissioning two £500,000 bands from their jeweller Robert Procop.

The former boss of British jewellers Asprey & Garrard has been busy producing matching bands for them at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, in the south of France. And now they’re done and ready to go.

A source said: “Robert’s been busy all year making Brad and Angie’s wedding rings.

“They are matching rose gold bands with a tablet-cut diamond in them and their vows to each other engraved in them.

“You can’t see it with the naked eye but they both know they’re there.”
