Can Ranbir, Katrina pair beat Ranbir, Deepika chemistry?

After the series of reports about the natural and unfathomable chemistry between ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif must have had enough.

Deepika was smiling from ear to ear after 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', opposite Ranbir, received stupendous response from critics and audience.

Her work was appreciated and critics showered praises as Deepika upped her acting skills with each passing movie.

During the entire promotional activities Ranbir and Deepika bonded like best friends forever, sparking rumours about their relationship.

'Yeh Jaawani Hai Dewaani' became one of the highest grossing movies of 2013.

Katrina missed out on ample opportunities to work with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress must be restless to prove her competency as an actress and show the spark between them.

After all Katrina's acting prowess is limited being the beauty quotient of a movie and churning out blockbuster item numbers.

Katrina now got a shot at RK in Anurag Basu's next 'Jagga Jasoos'.

This project is the maiden venture of Anurag and Ranbir's Picture Shuru Productions. So it comes as no surprise that boyfriend Ranbir wants his ladylove in the very first production.

The director has approached the actress to play the leading lady and the response was positive.

The movie was to be shot in 2014 but now all efforts are being made to start shooting the film this year to ensure it releases next year.

'Jagga Jasoos' will be Katrina and Ranbir's third film together after 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' and 'Raajneeti'.

The couple's romance came in light when they were photographed frolicking in the beach of Spain, partying in Ibiza and later holidaying in Sri Lanka.

Katrina was evidently very upset when the pictures were published and wrote a stern letter to the media about encroachment of her privacy.

At present Katrina is working with Hrithik Roshan in 'Bang Bang' and Aamir Khan in 'Dhoom 3'. She will also star opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor's Bollywood adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic Great Expectations.

Ranbir's dates are chock-a-block with 'Besharam', 'Roy' and 'Bombay Velvet'.

Publicly they never accepted their affair. Real life darling or not, it will be a treat to watch these two beautiful people paired together on-screen.

Katrina missed out on Imtiaz Ali's next movie with Ranbir to arch-rival Deepika Padukone. Even Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' was offered to her but finally Anushka Sharma will romance the Kapoor boy.

'Barfi!' went to Ileana D’Cruz, Nargis Fakhri bagged 'Rockstar' and Deepika grabbed 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewnani', all starring beau Ranbir.
