Cannes 2015: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to launch first look of 'Jazbaa'

Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who announced her comeback film 'Jazbaa' at Cannes International Film Festival in 2014, will unveil its first look this year.

The actress will present her film at a closed door United Nations panel discussion on May 16, followed by a media event on May 19.

Aishwarya along with the elite panelists including actresses Salma Hayek, Adele Exarchopoulos and forthcoming film Carol's producers Christine Vachone and Elizabeth Kushel will deliver a speech on gender equality and the role of women in media.

The 'Jazbaa' trailer will be showcased at the event in the presence of Essel Vision's business head Akash Chawla and the film's writer, co-producer-director Sanjay Gupta.

The actress plays a gritty lawyer in the film which marks her return to the silver-screen after five years. She was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Guzaarish' opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Aishwarya has been walking the Cannes red carpet for over a decade as the brand ambassador of cosmetic brand L'Oreal.

On May 21, Aishwarya and husband Abhishek Bachchan will attend amFAR Gala, held every year during the film festival, raises funds for fight against AIDS.

'Jazbaa' is produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Vikings Entertainment and is set to release worldwide on October 9.
