Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went from black to pastels back to black and finally a shimmering blue satin gown.
Ash’s Cannes Red Carpet appearances and photo calls ended up having a polarising effect on her substantial fan-base, readers of this site and fashion watchers in general.
Ash has become a regular fixture on the French Riviera and this visit marks the 12th consecutive year for the lady. She is the brand ambassador for make-up line L'Oreal.
She opened her Cannes fashion season by playing it safe in black, but then as the week wore on, she began to step out of the comfort zone, playing with colours, cuts and a new hairstyle.
The verdict on her one-shouldered, teal-blue, satin Gucci gown for the 'Cleopatra' premiere is that it was not a stunner.
Aishwarya also wore Elie Saab Haute Couture, a black Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree and an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla outfit at Cannes.
Some have claimed that the former Miss World was unlucky to be clicked from rather unflattering angles.
It is evident that the actress will still have to work a bit to get back in shape, but there is no denying of the fact that Aishwarya Rai is beauty personified, which almost, always nullifies everything else.
Here we give you her final fashion curtain call.
