It’s a new month for new film releases and you guessed it, more Bollywood stars to strike a pose in Dubai.

This month has it’s bagful of Indian stalwarts, hopefuls and legends making their way to the emirate, starting off with the man who has made it his life’s mission to bring Indian family values, with a heavy dollop of saccharine, to your screens, in stylish ensembles.

Indeed, it is director/producer Karan Johar, who is jetting in this Thursday, October 4, to teach his new actor pupils a lesson in Dubai promotions for his film “Student of the Year”, which releases October 18 across UAE cinemas.

Joining Johar will be his trio of debutante actors, Alia Bhatt (daughter of director/producer Mahesh Bhatt), Varun Dhawan (son of director David Dhawan) and Siddharth Malhotra.

The quartet are expected to run through the motions of a press event, followed by a mall visit to Ibn Batutta Mall at 8:30 pm and later, at the after party at Vegas Club and Lounge, Excelsior Hotel, Bur Dubai.

“Student of the Year” also stars Sana Saeed, the former child artiste from Johar’s hit film “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, where she played Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee’s daughter.

Rishi Kapoor also features in a pivotal role as the school, Saint Teresa’s gay principal.

Produced by Johar himself, along with Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Khan and Kajol are also expected to cameo in the film.

The romcom narrates the story of two friends who compete in the game of life on school grounds while also vying for the attention of one ladylove, played by Bhatt’s character.
