Indian dance reality shows 'Nach Baliye' or 'Jhalak Dikla Jaa' both have had one thing in common. Famous mums from Bollywood have been on the judges panel on these shows.

Be it Malaika Arora Khan or Madhuri Dixit, these popular mums from the silver screen have set a foothold in the television industry's reality shows.

The trend started when sizzling hot Malaika Arora Khan judged the first season of Nach Baliye, which was aired in 2005.

Malaika is one of the most famous item girls and she was best suited to analyse the moves of couples from the small screen. She was later seen judging other reality shows as well including the Indian version of 'Dancing with the stars' and 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4'. She was also seen on 'India's got Talent' as a judge.

Before making her second innings into the film industry post-marriage, Madhuri Dixit Nene decided to the test the waters by appearing as a judge on 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' 4.

Although her presence on the show did result in soaring TRP's but her comeback film 'Aaja Nachle' failed to impress anyone. Madhuri was seen in the season 5 of the same show.

Similarly, actress Shilpa Shetty, who had already shot to fame as a participant of international reality show 'Big Brother' and later went on to host the Indian version  'Bigg Boss'.

Her appearance in the song 'Shut Up And Bounce' in  2008 release 'Dostana' became a rage. Few months after giving birth to a baby boy she too made a comeback in the ongoing reality show  'Nach Baliye 5'.

Karisma Kapoor and Farah Khan too have turned to the small screen as judges after becoming mums. Karisma also was seen as a judge on Nach Baliye 4 after her daughter turned 4.  Farah Khan, after giving birth to triplets, was seen taking on the light job of judging dance and music reality shows.

Most of these stars from the big screen have managed to hold their ground on television .

So, now that it is an established fact that Bollywood mums are given a glowing reception on reality shows, can the fans expect Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too to join the reality show brigade?
