Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza escape Bangkok blast

The death toll from a bomb blast in the Thai capital rose to 20 on Tuesday with 123 wounded, police said, with eight tourists from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore among those killed in the attack.

Police said 20 were killed in Monday's bombing of the popular Erawan shrine in the heart of Bangkok's tourist and commercial centre, revising down an earlier toll of 21 dead.

Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza and actor husband Riteish Deshmukh were across the street near blast site.

Genelia reassured her followers on Twitter that she is safe after tweeting about being in the neighbourhood of the bomb that went off in Bangkok last night.

Riteish also Instagrammed a small video of an ambulance racing down the street where the blast happened.
