Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have postponed their wedding.

If you think Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will marry this year, post the release of 'Agent Vinod' as speculated; think otherwise as the ‘D’ day has been pushed to next year on Valentine’s Day.

This piece of news has come straight from someone very close to Kareena. It is believed that Saif and Kareena have taken the decision after a long discussion and the marriage is surely on cards next year on February 14, reports HIndustan Times.

Saif and Kareena have had earlier, declared that as soon as their most-ambitious project 'Agent Vinod' hits the silver screen, they will tie the knot.

But, latest update from the sources reveals a different story. Rumours also doing the rounds suggested that Saif and Kareena will get engaged on February 10.

One cannot help but wonder why the sudden decision. We know for sure that jewelry for Kareena has been ordered and the bride to be is also talking to designers for her wedding ensembles.

Earlier we had reported that there seem to be something amiss between the two.

Trouble in Saif-Kareena Kapoor paradise?

The most-awaited wedding this year in B-town after Riteish and Genelia was that of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

The couple made hand-in-hand, deep in love appearances at all events and functions, since they started dating while shooting for ‘Tashan’.

While Kareena’s importance in the Nawab’s life was pretty evident during the promotions of ‘Love Aaj Kal’, Saif’s first production, the feeling became mutual when Bebo’s great grandfather, Shammi Kapoor expired.

Since then the couple has been inseparable. Kareena once again came in the fore at Saifu’s, her love name for Saif Ali Khan, father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi funeral procession.

She continued to be on his side, even when Saif was bestowed with the honour of a Nawab.

Their bonding was concreted with ‘Agent Vinod’ when the actor roped in his real life lady love to play his reel-life partner.

Besides being Saif’s dream project, the film also marked the beginning of a second phase for the Nawab – marriage to his longtime partner and love, Kareena.

The only question was when. This too the couple cleverly put on the film’s release. “After the release of ‘Agent Vinod’,” the couple kept on saying every time the question was asked.

The only give away was Bebo’s sister, Karisma, who hinted towards a possible 2012 wedding.

But with the year already started and the release date of the film just around the corner, the couple seem to be growing apart, giving rise to rumours that all might not be well in the lover’s paradise.

At a recent event, Saif and Kareena were supposed to make an appearance as a couple, instead Bebo arrived with sister actress Karisma. Wat added fuel to the fire was when Kareena was asked about Saif and it was Karisma who answered: “Saif had to shoot for an advertisement, hence could not make it to the event.”

However, on the marriage issue while Karisma kept quiet, Kareena conveniently ignored it with a flashy smile.

Adding fooder for more talks was Kareena’s absence from the first-look release of ‘Agent Vinod’ a week later.

And incidentally, beau Saif too had a similar excuse to give for his leading lady’s absence from the event.

Saif said and we quote: “Kareena will later on join in the promotional activities.” As for the wedding, he had this to say: “At the moment, I am just promoting my film and nothing else.”

Funnily, this is from a love struck hero who not so long ago expressed his desire for marrying Kareena and soon.

The couple’s aloofness was once again at display at the recent promotion of Kareena’s film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.

While Bebo appeared in a jovial mood, she remained silent on all questions regarding the impending wedding. Helping her fend the media was of course happy-to-be co-star Imran Khan who played the mute game whenever there was a question not concerning a film.
