Shilpa Shetty confirms she is pregnant

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kiran Rao are the two new moms of Bollywood, but it is Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley who are expecting a baby in 2012.

Joining the company of expecting mothers is Shilpa Shetty as the actress broke the news on a social networking site. “Yes, there is an addition to our family, a confirmation to all queries. We seek blessings from all in this very beautiful phase of our lives,” posted Shilpa.

While wishes poured in, Raveena Tandon seemed overwhelmed with the news.

The actress posted, “So happy for my friend Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj for the new, on the way, angel of happiness.” She even uploaded a picture of hers with Shilpa Shetty.  The interesting bit is that both - Raveena and Shilpa share a history as both the actresses were reported to be seeing the same man, Akshay Kumar. However the Khiladi tied a twinkled knot.

In 2009 Shilpa married businessman Raj Kundra and since then she has been seen very less on the silver screen. Shilpa’s last release before the actress goes on a maternity break would be ‘The Desire’.
