SRK or Shahid Kapoor? Who made it to Priyanka’s dating record

It’s often the male actors who sport a strikingly high dating records, but former beauty queen and actress Priyanka Chopra does match-up with quite an impressive number herself.

In her 12 years in the Hindi movie industry, Priyanka allegedly has a notable dating catalogue that we’ve decided to highlight.

The most notorious and documented is definitely her first “link-up” with married star Akshay.

Apparently the stars started “dating” on a movie set, and their affair flourished over many movies… ‘Andaaz’, ‘Mujse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Aitraaz’ and ‘Waqt’.

But, all was not well with their love story, which the stars had kept under tight lock and key. It was exposed soon after Priyanka fired her secretary, who then in a fit of rage confirmed to the media, no less, that she was dating Aki, and how the affair cracked after his wife Twinkle caught them at a Goan resort.

The secy described how there was a massive showdown in the hotel lobby with an extremely miffed Twinkle banning Aki from ever working with Priyanka.

Harmen Baweja

Apart from being a Hrithik-look-a-like, Harmen had hoped that teaming with his actress-girlfriend of three years would prove lucky in Bollywood.

Alas, it not only ruined his Bollywood dreams, it also cost him his ladylove.

Despite love blossoming on the set of their futuristic on-screen romance ‘Love Story 2050’, it was during their second movie ‘What’s Your Rashee’ that they struggled to keep it going.

Many speculated that PC dumped Harmen because he didn’t turn out to be a star she expected him to be. In fact, Harmen’s career dipped further, while PC moved on to bigger movies, and more influential lovers.

“She realised that she needed to concentrate on her career and not waste her energy on a relationship that wasn't going anywhere,” reported the Indian media.

Ranbir Kapoor

It’s fairly easy to get linked to Ranbir Kapoor, mostly because of his “Casanova” image. But, when the two worked together on ‘Anjaana Anjani’ there were reports of how, despite the two reportedly dating other actors at that time, had indulged in some harmless flirting.

And how it eventually created trouble in Ranbir and Katrina Kaif’s alleged paradise.

Their connection didn’t last for long, and ended almost as soon as the movie promotions ended, with insiders speculating how a miffed Katrina had reprimanded Ranbir from ever crossing his limits.

Shahid Kapoor

Although the two have constantly denied ever being a couple, many B-town sources confirmed how they were an item.

It was upon Shahid’s insistence that the two refused to confirm to the media. Apparently Shahid was unwilling to let his love-life take precedence over his career, as he had suffered terribly from his much-publicised break-up with Kareena Kapoor.

From being neighbours to doing advertisements together, Shahid-PC played it subtly.

Even their joint appearance on Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ did just that. They didn’t endorse any theories, yet it was obvious that they were together.

However, it is rumoured that their relationship went through numerous ups and downs, with the actors finally deciding to go separate ways.

Shah Rukh Khan

This, by far, is the most scandalous “affair” in B-town history. Although no one has come out in the open about this link-up, many statements, by SRK and his pals, hinted at it.

According to the rumour mills, SRK and PC “hooked up” while filming ‘Don’ and its sequel.

The affair irked SRK’s wife Gauri, who then cold-shouldered PC from attending any glam dos in Bollywood. Soon, PC was struck off many buddy lists and left to bear the brunt of the affair. Even the star wives club ensured PC was punished.

In fact, SRK’s best bud Karan Johar also tweeted his displeasure; “Using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind so called “friends” to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame!!!”

Although SRK and PC are constantly in touch via twitter, they haven’t been seen together in public, so far.

It was only recently that SRK addressed the issue during a media event. “(I) Feel extremely sorry, for she (Priyanka) wasn’t shown the respect I show her, or other women. Priyanka Chopra is one of the closest friends that I have, she is very close to my heart, and always will be.”
