Confirmed! Shahid Kapoor getting married to Delhi girl this year

The news finally comes from the horse's mouth - yes Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor confirms he is getting married.

Amidst various reports doing the rounds we decided to take a step back and stop speculating until we hear it from the concerned individuals.

So we can finally declare that Shahid Kapoor is getting married to Delhi girl Mira Rajput and the wedding date is set for the end of the year.

Recently, at a style awards show in Mumbai, when asked specifically if he got engaged Shahid said no, but what journalists have been writing is partially true as marriage is on the cards at the end of the year.

When asked what was so special about the lovely young lady who had captured his heart, the actor refrained from getting into details.

He hoped media respects his privacy but it was important for him to acknowledge the news in front of the media.

Shahid is making attempts to keep it simple when talking about the new lady in his life claiming 'she's a regular girl' and he's 'a regular guy'.

Shahid, 34, and Mira met through the Radha Soami Satsang, a religious group to which their families belong.

Little is known about Mira, who is believed to be in her third year at Delhi's prestigious Lady Shri Ram College.

Shahid's father, actor Pankaj Kapur, reportedly met Mira's family at their residence in the Delhi suburb of Chhatarpur some days ago.

Shahid was last seen as the titular character in 'Haider', director Vishal Bhardwaj's desi adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet.

He's currently filming 'Shaandaar' with actress Alia Bhatt and Udta Punjab, which co-stars Alia again and his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor.
