Rohit Shetty's 'Chennai Express' with Shah Rukh Khan is one of the 'hottest' films to watch out for.
There was lot of deliberation regarding the casting of the leading lady. The choice was between Katrina Kaif or Kareena Kapoor and SRK's 'RA.One' heroine and Rohit's favourite, Kareena had emerged victorious.
But nowvKareena Kapoor has opted out of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’. Her exit has come as a surprise especially when she was very excited about the subject and also working with Shetty.
According to reports Kareena had major issues managing her dates and that is the sole issue of her sudden decision.
But the director has found a substitute and the problem of a leading lady is off the track. Rohit Shetty has decided to cast Deepika Padukone for the role and in fact, has signed her.
Deepika will share the screen space with Shah Rukh with whom she began her career in ‘Om Shanti Om’.
‘Chennai Express’ will be the second concrete film post OSO where SRK-Deepika will be paired together.
