Ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor may have come together for 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' (YJHD) but we guess that's the end of togetherness.
Before your imagination runs riot it is better to clear that the two actors are not at war. It's just that Deepika is too tied down with her other projects.
Director Ayan Mukerjee and the maker of YJHD, Karan Johar, have chalked out an elaborate plan for the promotion and global tour of the movie. But it is reported that Deepika's 'Chennai Express' co-star Shah Rukh Khan has asked her to stay back in India and complete their movie.
SRK and director Rohit Shetty have requested Deepika to hold her travelling plans and finished the already delayed 'Chennai Express'. They categorically told her that they need her to devote all her time to complete the film.
Deepika tried her best to wiggle out of the complex situation but Shah Rukh was adamant. Moreover Rohit Shetty had given her ample freehand when she needed dates for her other project 'Ram Leela'. So she has been asked to consider all of that and dedicate her dates to Shah Rukh.
The world trip scheduled to take off early last week is now stalled. These days promotional tour plays a big role in deciding the fate of a movie at the box office but so now that Deepika will not be able to accompany Ranbir the makers are not amused with their publicity drive been thrown out of gear.
They hoped Ranbir could cover up for Deepika but it is reported that even Ranbir seems to have backed out and decided not to travel abroad for the publicity tour.
So, if you wished to see Ranbir and Deepika together in your neighbourhood in US or England, you will have to wait longer.
