Deepika Padukone certainly plays her cards right (most of the time) - she made her big Bollywood debut with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
She picked movies that brought her recognition as an actor.
Deepika has been riding high on her success after giving four back to back blockbusters and crowned as Bollywood's most successful actress last year.
But there is one feat that remains evasive for this leggy beauty.
No records in Bollywood are success enough if an actress hasn’t paired opposite Salman Khan.
Deepika has gone on record to say that her first film offer came from Salman Khan but she was not ready to for Bollywood then.
But we wonder what has been stopping her now.
Although, Deepika has been sending evident feelers to Salman Khan for a role but she has no film opposite the 'Dabangg' star.
Meanwhile, there were reports that suggested Deepika was approached to do an item number for Salman's film 'Kick'.
She didn't sign the film, but the makers wanted her to do an item number.
However, the 'Chennai Express' lady has decided to give it a miss since her schedule is chock-a-block with other projects.
But this act of hers also highlights her true loyalty that she holds towards Shah Rukh Khan.
Her sole reason is to avoid a conflict of interest of sorts with SRK's home production. Deepika has a hot item number (a bar song) in director Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year'.
Other than that SRK gave her his big ticket film and they just delivered the biggest blockbuster of 2013, 'Chennai Express'.
King Khan still owns the "Who's your Daddy" title with Deepika choosing him over Salman Khan.
