Did Shah Rukh insult the Indian national flag?

Even though actor Shah Rukh Khan celebrated Eid alone shooting in Ladakh, but looks like his various court cases don't want to leave him alone.

In the latest, Ravi Brahme filed a case against Shah Rukh for disrespecting the national flag during the celebrations that followed the Indian cricket team’s victory in the World Cup final held on on April 2, 2011.

Brahme told CNN IBN that “We have decided to start a movement against people who show disrespect to the Indian flag and if we find such people, we will start registering complaints against them without thinking of their stature..”

"In SRK’s case, I was surfing the net and on one website I found some pictures in which he was waving the Indian flag in Mumbai after India won the cricket World Cup on April 2, 2011. While waving the flag, he ignored the fact that saffron colour was at the bottom and the green colour was on top.”  he added.

“Shah Rukh Khan has been booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and has been transferred to Mumbai police for further investigation. The case documents consist some photos and videos too,” a police officer said.

This is the third time in recent months that SRK has courted trouble.

During the Indian Premier League Shah Rukh embroiled in a fight with the security officials of a cricket ground in Mumbai and was thereafter banned by the authorities from entering the stadium.

During another IPL match in Rajashtan SRK was booked for smoking in public. He was later asked to pay a fine of Rs 100.

Incidentally, Brahme had recently lodged a complaint against Mumbai-based model Gehna Vashisht for allegedly insulting the national flag by wearing it as a bikini.

She was arrested on August 18 by Deccan Gymkhana police in Pune and released on bail the next day.
