Ranbir Kapoor was catapulted into glory and was called the 'Shashi Kapoor' of the current generation when his musical 'Rockstar' received both critical and commercial acclaim and became one of the biggest hits of 2011.

Ranbir's former girlfriend, Deepika Padukone, has recently woken up to the above fact and has expressed a latent desire over spilt milk. She wished, she was part of 'Rockstar', which also starred Pakistani American model Nargis Fakhri.

For the uninitiated, Deepika and Ranbir were an item at the beginning of their career and even delivered a flop film "Bachna Ae Haseeno" before they broke up - quite acrimoniously in fact.

Deepika tore Ranbir to shreds when she appeared on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan'.

However, much water has flowed under the bridge since their break-up and the duo patched up for professional reasons.

They will be next seen together in 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani'.  Even though they are no longer each other's 4am friend, they have moved on from their previous relationship.

However, to place things into perspective, Deepika's recent lament about missing out working on 'Rockstar' leads us to ponder if she is interested in rekindling the flame with Ranbir or even if she now regrets her hasty decision to slam the door on Ranbir's face. After all, her relationship with the Kingfisher heir, Siddhartha Mallya, also did not work out.

Now, we don't really know where her latent desire emanated from, but she should be quite happy with her choice of films, considering that she had a better 2012 compared to 2011.

'Cocktail' starring Saif and Padukone was a hit and boosted the 26-year-old's confidence. She has been quite candid about her choice of films and how she was disappointed about a couple of them. However, she maintains that she worked equally hard for all of them even if they did not turn out as she had expected them to do.

One advice to Deepika: She would do well not to think aloud while addressing the media.
