Dubai LIVE: 'Khaleeji' concert new dates; Lionel Richie at Media City; Shatha Hassoun rocks

Jalsa Ala’Shatah’, the live Khaleeji concert playing in Dubai has been rescheduled to March 21 and 24 from the previously announced 21 and 23 March.

The event is organized by Duvent, a subsidiary of Meraas Leisure and Entertainment.

Premiering at The Beach, Meraas’s latest development on the Marina shoreline, the concert will feature headline performances by Jaber Al Kaser and Balqees Ahmed Fathi on day one, followed by Fahad Al Kubaisi and Dounia Batma on the second day.

Jalsa Ala’Shatah’ is a non-ticketed event, open to the public. The concert will begin at 8.30pm on both days.

Lionel Richie 'Live' in Dubai

The five-time Grammy Award winner dubbing his latest tour All The Hits, All Night Long will perform 'Live' in Dubai on April 17.

Tickets for the show are now on sale.

Tickets are on sale at www.timeoutickets.com and Virgin Megastores across the UAE. Ticket prices start at Dh295,; doors open at 7pm.

The iconic 64-year-old singer will perform at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Dubai is the penultimate stop in his latest tour, which begins in Perth, Australia on March 2 and closes in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 4.

The 64-year-old musician’s last album, Tuskegee, was released in 2012.

Shatha Hassoun rocked at Deira City Centre

Deira City Centre's 'Style Star Search' campaign saw hundreds of shoppers participating in the event.

Arab celebrity Shatha Hassoun made an exclusive appearance to meet with fans and share personal styling tips at Deira City Centre.

The singer-actress is renowned for her ability to sing in a range of regional dialects including Iraqi, Lebanese, Gulf, Moroccan, and Egyptian.

Shatha’s visit was part of the mall’s ‘Style Star Search,’ where the three-day weekend staged budding fashionistas in front of a professional photographer for the chance to appear in one of Dubai’s hottest lifestyle magazines. 

The Top 20 fashionable shoppers will be selected by a team of fashion experts based on personal expression, individuality and style sense, which will be then posted on Deira City Centre’s social media pages for public vote.

The winner with the most votes will be crowned ‘Style Star’ for 2014 on March 31st, and will receive fashionable gifts worth Dh20,000, in addition to an exclusive feature in one of Dubai’s lifestyle magazines.
