Bollywood star Salman Khan may be off the radar following a tiff with the Indian press photographers in Mumbai but his absence hasn’t impacted the rushes for his much-awaited Eid release ‘Kick’ in Dubai.

Tickets to the action-thriller are fast-selling out, with his ardent fans showing their solidarity in large numbers.

Dubai movie showcasers – Vox Cinemas, Novo Cinemas and Reel Cinemas - have already started advance ticket sales to cash in on Khan’s massive popularity.

“We are his biggest fans and have already bought our tickets. We don’t want to miss out the action,” beamed a young fan.

His loyalists even took to twitter to announce their movie plans. “Tickets bought for 1st day in Dubai! Cant wait #Kick,” tweeted a fan.

Another wrote, “Booked kick movie tickets today in Dubai”.

Another plus for Dubai fans is that they get to watch the movie a day earlier than in India, where it will release on July 25.

Advance ticket sales have already kicked-off in major cities in India. Talking to an Indian daily, trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the “craze for ‘Kick’ is humongous among the audience. Salman and Eid is the biggest combination (sic)”.

Salman’s movies are big money-spinners and are often reserved exclusively for Eid, with ‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ flaunting impressive box-office records.

In fact, he even took to social media to announce how he’s reserved the Eid-slot for 2015! A status message on his facebook page reads, “’Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor and directed by Kabir Khan. Releases Eid 2015.”

Last year, however, was an exception, with Shah Rukh Khan taking the spotlight with ‘Chennai Express’, while Salman’s ‘Jai Ho’ was pushed forward to January this year. The movie, by the star’s own admission was “(INR)126-crore flop”.
