After a highly successful, critically acclaimed 11th edition, Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival is already set to return for next year!

The dates have been confirmed by Chillout Productions, the festival will run from Thursday, February 13 to Friday, February 21 in 2014.

The same format will be followed, having two weekends of Main Gigs and Jazz Garden in between, but with more new additions that will exceed everyone's expectations as seen every year.

According to the founders and organizers of the festival, it's too early to specify who might be featured on the twelfth edition; however, it will be undeniably a great line-up once again.

"Since the Dubai International Jazz Festival began back in 2003, its popularity has grown immensely and this year was no different. More than 55,000 fans from across the region flocked to Dubai Festival City for the annual nine-day event, which welcomed great acts by world-class performers like the Legendary British Rock Band Deep Purple, American Pop Rock Bands 3 Doors Down, One Republic, and Irish Alternative Rock Band The Script. With the new theme of 'Rocking the City', the festival has yet again proven itself to be much more than just a Jazz event," said Anthony Younes, CEO, Chillout Productions.

With an increase of 20% from the 2012 Edition, this year's event was indeed more than an average music festival. Fans of the OSN Jazz Garden witnessed a number of unexpected acts from award-winning musicians who never failed to entertain the crowd that by the end of every night managed to sweep the festival goers off their feet.

On the last day of the OSN Jazz Garden, the attendance reached over 5,000. This was because the festival did not limit its content to the commonly known concerts; it was continuously expanding by adding creative activities to its bills, thus the unwavering success.

"The challenge of raising the bar for the next edition will always be there. People will constantly expect a bigger and better edition. Every year, we need to come up with fresh and unique ideas to offer our ever-growing crowd. Truth to be told, it's not a matter of necessity for us, it's a matter of choice. Just like the festival being a system for bringing Jazz to large audiences that wouldn't normally hear it. It's not easy, but we did it. And for 2014, we most definitely will," commented Younes.

Following its successful years, the most popular multi-day festival and most rewarded music event in the gulf region received an award last March 20 for Highly Commended – Best Festival at the Time Out Dubai Music & Nightlife Awards 2013.
