Bollywood's WAGs engage in some serious Christmas shopping

Designer Seema Khan introduced her latest evening wear collection, along with statement jewellery label Isharya for the upcoming party season.

Some of the celebrities who dropped in for their pre Christmas shopping at her store, Bandra 190 were Gauri Khan, Elli Avram,  Maheep Kapoor, Laila Motwanee, Bhavna Pandey, Renu Chainani, Neelam Kothari, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora Ladakh, Tania Deol, Kaykasshan Patel, Sharmila Thackeray, Sonal Chauhan and many more.

The collection comprises of glamorous gowns, metallic jumpsuits, waist coats, blazers, sequined skirts, digital and animal prints.  The key offerings of the line include gorgeous butterfly, floral and leafy prints in shades of fuchsia, green, turquoise blue, lemon yellows embellished with chunky embroideries and semi-precious stones. A large selection of Metallic Lame is a mainstay of the collection.

“The collection is feminine yet a la mode.  The eclectic mix offers printed blouses, shirts, retro printed waistcoat, dress, easy to wear suits. The bling and shine embellishments add a dramatic twist and lend a hip and chic touch.” says Seema Khan.

Seema also presents a capsule Indian wear collection crafted in brocades mixed with georgettes, which emphasise more on detailed embroidery. Gota-patti work, mixed with kassab, zardozi and stones create an extremely trendy ethno-chic combination.

The recent wedding of Arpita Khan saw many fashionistas such as Mallaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Daisy Shah, Ellie Avram, Bhavna Pandey and many more in Seema Khan creations.

Her designs have now grown with her. The years of experience and exposure have brought about a significant change in her designs.  Her style is trendy and elegant, classic yet contemporary, fun yet fashionable and feminine.

 Poised to make a comeback with a fabulous collection Seema hopes to wow the new age woman to enhance her style quotient.
