Dubai to host South Indian International Movie Awards

Stars and stalwarts of the four leading South Indian film industry –Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam –will be celebrating the Indian vernacular language movie worlds most talked about movie award event in Dubai. The fourth edition of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is coming back to the most happening Emirate in the UAE, Dubai, after its rotation from the maiden event in Dubai to Sharjah and Malaysia.

For the large number of Indian film lovers, especially the South Indian film enthusiasts, the next episode of SIIMA will be a star studded celebrity entertainment mega show in which about 20 leading stars from the four language movie world will not only receive much coveted awards, but will also entertain the audience with their stunning performances.

 The two day glitz and glamour studded award nights will be held in Dubai World Trade Center from August 6th to August 7th. An occasion for the South Indian stars to reach out to their fans globally, especially in the UAE, where large number of South Indian film enthusiasts live and work. Tickets for the show will be available for sale from the first week of June 2015. Javeria Rashed of Eventz Unlimited and Jason Pullikotil, heading Events Unlimited and Full House Entertainment are handling the event with a skilled team of event managers with international exposure.

 “This year SIIMA is back in Dubai and we are looking forward to a grand night that will only get bigger and better with over 20 stars performing over two days in Dubai,” said Brinda Prasad, Chairman of SIIMA on an auspicious occasion of the formal launch of the vent in the presence of Hanshika Motwani, Rana Daggubati, ‘Shriya Saran and Pranitha Subhash and Devi Sree Prasad. Held with the support of Micromax as the title sponsor, Taj Dubai, Tamil FM Radio and other sponsors and partners, the event is projected as one of the biggest events in South Indian film industry, to be held outside India. In the past editions, Chiranjeevi, rated as the face of Indian films, was among the n number of celebrities who participated in the SIIMA shows.

“To be representing the South Indian film industry globally, is both a responsibility and a privilege and SIIMA is just the right platform to be a part of. I am now eagerly looking forward to SIIMA 2015 in Dubai,” said Hansika.

SIIMA nomination process is executive by a panel of judges from Tamil, Telgu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries, followed by online voting for the final verdict of winner selections. The hosting of the highly charged entertainment and award show in Dubai will offer the Indian population a chance to get entertained thrilled with electrifying performances by the movie stars. According to the organisers, Full House Entertainment (a film production house in India) and Events Unlimited, the show is watched by over 45 per cent of South Indian TV viewers watching SIIMA every year.

There will be two days of unlimited dance, drama, celebration and laughter and SIIMA is projected as unique entertaining experience for the viewers as the who is who of the South Indian film industry will be flown in to take part in the show and as award winners. Awards in different categories are given for different language movies.
