Bollywood fans in Dubai have not one, but two opportunities next week to meet Amitabh Bachchan, when he pops up in two places in the city on the same night.

The iconic actor will lead a delegation from Bollywood to the Masala! Awards, which are being held at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai on December 17, organisers said on Thursday. At the event, Bachchan is to be joined by Hrithik Roshan and two of Bollywood’s hottest ladies – Malaika Arora Khan and Urmila Matondkar.

The awards celebrate the achievements of South Asians from across the world, and the UAE in particular.

But, as we reported earlier, Bachchan will also be attending another awards ceremony on the same day.

He is to be chief guest at the annual Marathi International Film and Theatre Awards, being held in Dubai on the same night. Luckily, with that ceremony being held at The Palladium, he won’t have to travel too far as he zips between the two shows.

We're wondering if he asked that they be scheduled close to each other or he's just happy to be earning twice as much as normal for one evening's work.
