With six teams, 18 matches and six different venues Salman Khan comes to Dubai promising a bigger and better Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

The League designed after the IPL (Indian Premier League) brings together six film industries of India on one stage to showcase their cricket prowess.

Salman Khan puts all his strength to get together Bollywood stars in his Mumbai Heroes. His team along with brother Sohail Khan and Suniel Shetty will feature Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Sono Sood, Mahesh Manjrekar, Apoorva Lakhia and many others.

Speaking at a press conference organised by Times Square Events in the Zabeel Saray, Sohail Khan owner of Mumbai Heroes said,  “As many as 40 guys are practicing to play for the team. Last time we didn’t play well but this time we will try to perform better.”

Salman Khan seems optimist for season 2, “Our boys are practicing hard along with the coach. The Mumbai rains have disturbs our training sessions but this time we will give some tough competition.”

Keeping the glamour quotient up will be Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia D’souza and Kangana Ranaut as the brand ambassador of Mumbai Heroes. Not far behind is Telugu Warriors with Shriya Saran and Richa Ganguly.

CCL will launch celebrity calendar for the year 2012 featuring all the beautiful ladies shot at beautiful locales.

Salman and Sohail have chosen Sharjah as their home ground. Mumbai Heroes will be hosting matches for three years at their home ground. The team will be playing alongside the Telegu and Tamil teams this season.

Salman said, “We have great memories of Sharjah stadium and considering it’s a historic venue we thought this could be the best place to host our matches.”

“I have witnessed many memorable matches played in Sharjah so the thought of playing in such a ground is exciting. When we approached Sharjah cricket stadium authorities they accepted our proposal readily,” said Sohail.

The six teams represent the six different regional film industries in India. Mumbai Heroes owned by Sohail Khan and captained by Suniel Shetty, Chennai Rhinos lead by South superstar Surya, Karnataka Bulldozers by Kiccha Sudeep and skipper Venkates leads Telugu Warriors. Season 2 will introduce two new teams- Kerala Strikers and Bengal Tigers owned by Boney Kapoor. With the inclusion of two more teams there’s a slight change in the format as well. There will be fifteen league matches, two semi finals and one final matches played. The other venues include Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Kochi.

The tournament will kick start on 13th January 2012 at Sharjah followed by the first match of the League.  So book your tickets for an exhilarating time with your favourite stars.
