Fan abuses Amitabh Bachchan; this is how star responds...

At the age of 72, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan not only works round the clock to fulfill his professional commitments but also takes out time to connect with his fans through social networking mediums.

He is an active blogger and uses different social networks to keep his Efs (calls his fans 'extended family') updated about his shoots, events and travel.

But recently the septuagenarian was accused by a fan of being false on Twitter.

Bachchan was disheartened after a teenager slammed him publicly because he didn't greet her on her birthday, saying the actor's claims of being in touch with fans were 'false.'

The actor wrote on his blog, "Each day I get 1000 calls and emails to reply to. Yet I try to get across to all. At times when some Ef are not responded to, they send admonishing responses to me. It almost sounds abusive ! I am not deserving of this, yet I let it pass by in the larger interests of our association.

"Amita has been upset that I did not wish her on the 15th .. my apologies. When you are in different time zone, jet lag and body temperament goes through so many changes. Mine too. I sleep at odd hours. And that is the result of the delay.

"She has expressed on Twitter that I should not follow her anymore and that I am false in my expressions of greeting.

"Well.. what can I say... no one that I follow shall ever be deleted from my list.. if others wish to leave, I am no one to stop them..

"I never forced anyone to come on board, I shall never force anyone to leave.. this platform is most sacred to me, and shall ever remain so.

"What I have received from it and from all that come here, cannot be described in words.. it has been magical.. and may I just say this.

"You may all decide to leave me and this platform, BUT... I will not .. I shall continue to write, even if there is NO ONE to respond or read it."

The actor went on to say that he has a commitment towards his fans and finds joy in connecting with them.

"...But look .. and this I say with all sanity and in good spirit .. if there is any among you that does not appreciate this association, or my attitude, or is unhappy or filled with complaint, please feel free to disconnect .. it will be most unfortunate, but I would hate to do something to displease another, more so those that are deeply entrenched as my 'extended family'!"

Meanwhile, Bachchan will soon be seen on big screen in 'Piku' and 'Wazir'.
