‘Gori Tera Pyaar Main’ music launch without Kareena Kapoor, Imran

Director Puneet Malhotra, is back after the success of ‘I Hate Luv Story’ with Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor playing the lead pair in the upcoming ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Main’. The movie had its music launch in Mumbai with the star cast conspicuous by their absence.

But the music director of the film Vishal-Shekhar who were present at the event seemed quite all right with the absence of the lead pair and shared, “When we see a music event usually the actors are always present. It doesn’t even look like a music launch; rather it looks more like a film event. Especially when an actor-producer introduces you on stage but it’s not solely a music event.” The last film they did was ‘Chennai Express’, so is it any sour experience talking?

However, the director of the film Puneet Malhotra was all praises for the duo and said, “Our music is very strong and the full credit goes to Vishal Shekhar who made it and even I have nothing to do with it. It is them who are the real stars. We had a blast making this album and working with Vishal and Shekhar is the easiest thing in this world.”

The director also revealed that the story is actually inspired from his real life and says, “Actually six years ago, I had fallen in love when I went to a village. My story sadly had no happy ending but Imran surely gets a happy ending out here.”

The film releases on November 22, 2013.
