Kim Kardashian set for a Dubai comeback

It seems the drama surrounding her trip to Dubai last year has enticed Kim Kardashian enough to return for seconds. 

The reality TV star and socialite announced on her official website that she can’t wait to return to the emirate and expand her tentacles to encompass other countries in the region this time around. 

Kardashian said: “We’re planning our next trip to Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and the Middle East! Go to Sheeraz.com for bookings! [sic]” 

No response was forthcoming as yet when Emirates 24|7 emailed organiser and friend of the Kardashians, Sheeraz Hasan, who is bringing her down to the region. 

But insiders are saying that the diva in question will be touring the region to promote retail brand Millions of Milkshakes once again, along with looking to expand her fashion line into the region. 

However, Dubai doesn’t seem to be suiting the 31-year-old all that much, what with her last visit in October 2011 creating controversy via her reality TV show, “Kourtney and Kim Take New York”. 

For those who don’t recall, accusations were flung after an episode was aired that some of the scenes filmed in Dubai were allegedly faked to garner sympathy for Kardashian, who bore the brunt of a backlash from the public after she ended her marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries mere 72 days after the $10 million spectacle. 

The accusations arose when Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner were pictured outside a Los Angeles studio in December last year, wearing and carrying the same outfits, along with sporting the same hairdo and makeup, which was depicted in the scene filmed in Dubai. 

While Humphries’ legal team is supposedly investigating this matter, the Kardashian sisters (this time two other siblings are on the tag team too) have further legal battles to face. 

Right after the Mideast trip was announced, the Kardashians sisters were slapped with a $5m class action lawsuit courtesy the QuickTrim products they endorse. 

The four plaintiffs of the suit are alleging the Kardashians and the makers of QuickTrim diet pills are falsely touting the product’s effectiveness in losing weight., when “no competent and reliable scientific evidence supporting any of these claims.” 

The main ingredient in the pills is a large dose of caffeine, mixed with herbal ingredients never clinically proven as effective, the lawsuit stated. 

The filing further states: “[The pill is] marketed by the defendants as a clinically proven formula that will increase metabolism, curb appetite and promote weight loss. 

“In reality, QuickTrim’s main ingredient is a large dose of caffeine, which the FDA has determined is not a safe or effective treatment for weight control. [Also, they] generally feature . . . photos of one or more of the Kardashian sisters in a bikini or other revealing attire.” 

The Kardashians and officials from QuickTrim have yet to comment on the lawsuit at hand. 

Let’s just hope the legal battles that await don’t wreak havoc on some fun in the Mideast sun for the Kardashian family.
