Shah Rukh Khan wants his fans to forget Hollywood films and focus only on Bollywood. Especially when it comes to the sci-fi, superhero genre! According to the actor, people give more importance to Hollywood films and respect them more than Bollywood films.

This, after news reports surfaced that the posters of his ambitious project Ra.One were copied from a German film and some scenes in the film copied from a few Hollywood superhero films!

SRK prefers to ignore the comparisons, instead defending the aping. “I do not know how people compare our movies with Hollywood movies. If someone claims that we copied from somewhere, yes we copied it from everywhere! But then our movie is completely different from all movies. It is a superhero movie,” he says. Immediately, he adds, “You will find the villain and hero are of the same kind like in all those movies. When we make unique movies, people ask why not make Hollywood type of movies and when we make any such movie people claim that we’ve copied from elsewhere. Why should we be part of a Hollywood film? Let’s make a small Indian film which will be up to the mark of international standards. Let’s make Harry Potter and Spiderman in India rather than be a part of theirs.”

The actor further adds, “Today most superhero movies are made in America. Why should America have all the superhero movies? We Indians have superhero movies like ‘Krrish,’ ‘Drona.’ We should support these Bollywood movies and make them bigger rather than praising the Hollywood films.” SRK, perhaps you should exchange notes with new BFF Priyanka Chopra, who starred in a recent flop Sci-fi film titled Love Story 2050, remember?
