No Khan war here, Saif won’t play it safe for Sajid Khan’s next

Despite making tall claims about how his ‘Himmatwala’ remake will turn into a runaway box-office success, eccentric filmmaker Sajid Khan went into hiding after his movie bombed without a trace.

Only to resurface to broadcast his next big project with Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.

The announcement, however, was ruined with reports of how Saif was having second thoughts over signing on the dotted line.

Insiders claimed it could possibly be a reaction to ‘Himmaatwala’s box-office debacle.

“The shooting is all set to start from July. But incidentally, Saif is in a phase of his career where he is reinventing himself. Given the way Himmatwala bombed at the box office, the actor is feeling jittery,” the Indian media reported.

Saif, however, dismissed the rumours and informed the media that he was, in fact, excited to work with Sajid.

“Such rumours are uncalled for. If someone is spreading it, he should have a spine to come out in open and talk about it. Why should I be jittery about doing his film just because his ‘Himmatwala’ didn't work as expected?” Saif told the Indian press.

“Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. That doesn't mean you start doubting a director.”

Even Sajid’ good friend Riteish backed him.

“We had a lot of expectations from ‘Himmatwala’. We were shocked by the response it received. It came as a big disappointment that the film proved to be a disaster,” he told the media.

“I hope Sajid’s next film is better. I hope he is able to make a film that will connect with the audience. And not just with him!”

Probably if Sajid focused on his directorial duty and less on his gloated ego, maybe, he will be able to pull off another box-office success. Just maybe!
