If the Metallica hangover is still plaguing you from last month, and head banging your way to some sensational rock music is the only alternative, then we have just the cure.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is zipping into town on November 3, bringing with him, his on-screen Jimi Hendrix avatar from the upcoming film, 'Rockstar'. The young celeb will be joined by film co-star Nargis Fakhri, along with singer Mohit Chauhan and director Imtiaz Ali ('Jab We Met').

Now all that is missing is the super talented AR Rahman, who has composed the film’s music, but fans will have to wait awhile since the living legend will jet into town only on December 9 to kickstart his world tour from Dubai. But fans of the hottie Kapoor and Fakhri hardly have any reason to fret, as the duo is expected to take to the stage at Chi@The Lodge on Thursday, bringing with them a sneak peek into their “Rockstar” world, while Chauhan will be on hand to croon some tunes.

The film chronicles the emotional journey of an aspiring singer Janardhan, played by Kapoor, following his setbacks and triumphs as he transforms into the rockstar, Jordan.

'Rockstar' also marks the final film of Bollywood legend and Kapoor’s grand uncle, Shammi Kapoor, who passed away earlier this year.

The lead pair have been on a promotional blitzkrieg across India to promote the movie, visiting various colleges to connect with young audiences. They are also expected to visit colleges in Dubai.

The movie, which releases across the UAE on November 10, has already created quite a buzz for other reasons too, what with Kapoor’s smouldering good looks and the rumoured off-screen pairing with Fakhri.

Whether the latter is true or not, their chemistry will be there for all to see live in the city.

To catch all the action, head to the venue by 9pm, and catch Dubai’s very own local rock band, Point of View, wow the crowd until the B-town celebs show up.

Organised by Xcellence Events, ladies enter free before 10pm, while tickets are priced at Dh100 and Dh300. Call: 050 215 1215
