Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina movie finally gets a title

After months of keeping it under tight wraps, the Yash Raj film banner has finally unveiled the title of their next big-budgeted romance as ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

The film that stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma has been in the spotlight over its title, with many speculating that it was ‘Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum’, a title track from director Yash Chopra’s yesteryear blockbuster ‘Silsila’.

This was later denied by the Yash Raj spokespersons.

Later, rumours surfaced that it was titled ‘Yaara Silli Silli’, based on another famous music track from the same banner. Even this wasn’t validated by the film company.

The movie trailer, which debuted during Salman’s Eid release ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, was launched without a title name. It was merely called ‘A Yash Chopra Romance’.

According to industry insiders, Yash Chopra and Aditya wanted to pick the right title for the film.
With this movie marking a return of Yash Chopra behind the cameras after a hiatus of seven years, it did garner a lot of media attention.

“Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shah Rukh will be involved with it. He is like family to YRF and I have always regarded him as one of my own,” Chopra told an Indian media channel. His last movie, ‘Veer-Zaara’ starred SRK, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerjee.

The movie also marks the coming together of two music maestros – A R Rahman and Gulzar.

It is scheduled for a Diwali release this year.
