The former Pussycat Dolls singer took to her Twitter page to tell her followers, 'Just landed in Dubai!', following a brief stopover in London where she was recording her new album.

Tryouts are over, bootcamp has finished and this week Nicole Scherzinger is in Dubai to choose her final four boys for the live show - 'The X Factor'.

In fact, her romance with Lewis Hamilton was back on track after she jetted to London to spend the night with him on Sunday.

The singer was due to fly to Dubai on Sunday to prepare for the shoot but persuaded show bosses to allow her to make a pit stop to see her lover in London.

Although there has been no official announcement, it is rumoured that Nicole is mentoring the boys' category this year while Tulisa has the girls, Louis the groups and Gary Barlow the over-28s.

The brunette beauty is joined at the final audition stage by American Grammy Award winning R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor Ne-Yo.

'Dubai, how've you been?' he tweeted. 'I've missed you...tho my visit will be brief, I leave a small piece of my heart here.'

Nicole and Ne-yo have also been joined by Xtra Factor co-host Caroline Flack, who described her contestants as 'super cool' and added, 'Brilliant 2nd day at judges houses xx.'

According to reports Louis Walsh is heading to Las Vegas to pick his finalists, accompanied by Sharon Osbourne, while Tulisa will be choosing her acts in St Lucia, joined by rapper Tinie Tempah.

Meanwhile Gary Barlow will remain in London, in order to remain close to his family after his daughter Poppy was tragically stillborn earlier this month.

The Take That singer will choose his acts with help from bandmate Robbie Williams.

Justin Bieber signs up for US X Factor mentor role

Justin Bieber has signed up to be a mentor on US 'X Factor', which will see him assist LA Reid at the Judges' Houses stage of the competition.

The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker is assisting LA Reid at the Judges' Houses stage of the competition, where he is helping him pick the best acts from his category - which is rumoured to be the over-25s - to go through to the live shows.

The pair were spotted filming for the talent show in Los Angeles yesterday (27.08.12), and Justin posed for photographers in a white T-shirt and sunglasses before later admitting he'd had a "great day".

He wrote on twitter: "Long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! thanks (sic)"

L.A. previously signed the 18-year-old singing sensation to Island Def Jam during his time as chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group before he quit in March 2011 to join the US 'X Factor', and the music mogul - who was helped out by Rihanna during last year's show - was delighted to be reunited with Justin and his manager Scooter Braun.

He wrote: "Great day with my guys! @justinbieber @scooterbraun @TheXFactorUSA. (sic)"

Fellow judge Demi Lovato has enlisted the help of Nick Jonas to help her pick her best contestants to progress to the live shows.

It has been suggested the 20-year-old singer will mentor wannabes aged 12 to 16, with fellow new judge Britney Spears taking charge of those aged between 17 and 24, while Simon Cowell is expected to mentor the groups.
