Halloween scare: Spider in singer's ear

Halloween just got a touch too real for one celebrity pop star. Katie Melua has shared her real-life horror story on Twitter. She had a spider living in her ear (for real)!

After being irritated by a scratching noise in her ear, she went to the doctor to get it checked and found it was a spider living inside.

What’s more, she says it had been there for a week.

Melua – who has a single called Spider’s Web – thinks the creature may have got in from a pair of earbud headphones and posted pictures of the spider on Instagram.

Her caption: "I used these old in-ear monitors to block out sound on a flight, a little spider must have been in them and crawled inside my ear and stayed there for the week."
