50 Cent has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges after he was accused of kicking an ex-girlfriend - whom he has a child with - and destroying her condo in Toluca, California, in June.

The 'Candy Shop' hitmaker was accused of kicking an ex-girlfriend - whom he has a child with - and destroying her condo in Toluca, California, in June, but denied the charges when he appeared in court in Los Angeles on Monday (05.08.13).

However, 50 Cent, who could face being put behind bars for up to five years and slapped with a hefty fine of $46,000 if he is found guilty of the attack, has been barred from coming within 100 yards of his ex and ordered to hand over any weapons to the authorities.

He will appear in court again on September 4.

The Los Angeles City Attorney said previously that the rapper - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - allegedly caused $7,100 in damages to the unnamed victim's furniture, chandeliers, a TV, a lamp and by ransacking her bedroom during the incident.

Police officers were called to the property and the woman claimed she had locked herself in her bedroom after getting into an altercation with 50, after which he broke down the door and kicked her, resulting in an injury.

The mystery woman told police she had been in a three-year relationship with the star, who reportedly left the house before police arrived.

Selena Gomez: 'I blew my first audition'

Selena Gomez says her first audition as a child was terrible and executives were not impressed with her.

While the 21-year-old star went on to find fame on Disney's 'Wizards of Waverly Place', she admitted her very first audition as a child was a disaster and executives were not impressed.

She told i-D Magazine: "I was actually really shy as a child. My first audition did not go well. I was very awkward. It was in front of a bunch of suits at Disney and I definitely felt I blew it. It took me a long time to let go."

Selena is a huge fan of fellow child star Britney Spears - who first found fame on Disney's 'Mickey Mouse Club'- and still counts one attending of her concerts as "the best day of my life".

She explained: "The 'Baby One More Time'... concert was amazing. I sat all the way up in the nosebleeds and I could barely see her, but I remember it being the best day of my life. I had my hair in a ponytail and I knew all the words to the songs. I'll always remember it."

Although Selena has been called one of the most beautiful women in the world, she concedes that Photoshop does help her to look good.

She said: "It's so easy to wear incredible, beautiful dresses and look super glamorous, because you have the power of Photoshop, but a shoot that's really stripped-down and raw is really fun to do."

Simon Cowell's lover didn't expect pregnancy

Simon Cowell's lover Lauren Silverman didn't think she could get pregnant after doctors told her she couldn't have any more children following a number of miscarriages.

The New York socialite - who has a seven-year-old son with her estranged husband Andrew Silverman - didn't use protection during her secret relationship with the music mogul because she had been told she couldn't have any more children.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She and Simon were not using protection because doctors said she couldn't get pregnant."

The 36-year-old brunette beauty is said to be thrilled at her pregnancy news, but is concerned she could lose the unborn tot.

The source explained: "The only fear is that because of her history of miscarriages, she might lose the child and end up with nothing."

Meanwhile, the 53-year-old 'X Factor' boss previously pledged to give Lauren $4.5 million a year until the youngster turns 21 after taking legal and financial advice over the "messy" situation.

A source previously said "He wants to ensure he does the right thing for her and their baby as well as resolving this mess.

"Simon wanted to know exactly where he stands and to minimise the damage this will do to his bank balance.

"He has a good relationship with Lauren at the moment but when you're as wealthy as Simon, you can't take any chances. Money changes people.

"Simon has warned he won't be taken for a ride just because he's rich.

"He's more than prepared to be fair and generous but he's no mug."

Kanye West to perform at MTV VMAs

Kanye West will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, which will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 25.

The 36-year-old rapper will make his seventh onstage appearance at the annual awards when he sings 'Black Skinhead' at the ceremony on August 25, which will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Lady Gaga has previously been confirmed as a performer and will debut her new single, making one of her first appearances since having hip surgery in February.

The 27-year-old singer, who will release her new album 'ARTPOP' on November 11, sang the national anthem at New York's Gay Pride in June but has been avoiding the public eye since calling off her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour to undergo surgery for a labral tear on her right hip earlier this year, which left her temporarily wheelchair-bound.

The blonde singer recently revealed that her new album will visit the pain of her past and dramatically described the moment she handed the first single over to her record label.

In a post on her new website, LittleMonsters.com, she wrote: "ARTPOP as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. its a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. but all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. im just ready to fight. start the music. (Sic)"

Other performers will be announced at a later date but Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations, as they are both up for six awards.
