How Aishwarya Rai, Sachin Tendulkar and Abhishek connect

The conclave saluting the glorious years of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar had celebs right from the cricketing to cinema world paying tribute to him.

Along with the cricketing stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Shohaib Akhtar, actor Abhishek Bachchan also shared his encounters and more with Sachin.

AB junior says, “I turned closer to Sachin only after I married Aishwarya.

“Sachin resides very close to her residence and they know each other for a longer period of time.”

“Sachin is very fond of films. He watches all the films and is also aware of the new numbers.

“I remember Rohan Gavaskar once told me that Sachin wanted to watch film ‘Akks’. But he did not have the courage to put forth the request to dad (Amitabh Bachchan),” says Abhishek.

“Somehow, we planned to show him the film in a studio situated at Film City. Since this was the first time I was to meet Sachin properly, I was handling the production. Therefore I saw that the studio was cleaned well before he entered it. After all it was Sachin! So, I did not leave any stone unturned in order to make him feel comfortable.”
