How can pretty ladies embarrass Salman Khan

Just call him 'Bhai' (brother) that's it!

He is fondly called ‘Sallu’, ‘Salman bhai’ or just ‘bhai’ (brother) by his friends and fans but Bollywood superstar Salman Khan feels that only his brothers and sisters have the right to call him 'bhai'.

On many ocassions Salman made it clear how he dislikes being called 'bhai' by all and sundry. He even reprimandes many in public for calling him 'bhai' specially when it's coming from a beautiful lady.

Recently Salman, who was in delhi to launch a merchandise store of his NGO told reporters, “I have four sisters already — two of my own and two rakhi sisters. That is enough. I don’t want more sisters yaar.

“If a pretty lady calls me bhai, I get very embarrassed. I often tell a friend standing next to me to request her not to call me bhai,” he said with a sheepish grin on his face.

But whether he likes it or not fans and friends pay no heed.

In a candid interview to an Indian news channel last year, Salman stated that how he dislikes being addressed as bhai by unknown people.

"All sorts of idiots call me that. Even rank strangers. Not everyone has the right to call me bhai.

"Only Arbaaz and Sohail should call me bhai. Besides, my parents have given me a name, it's a superb name, Salman Khan and I prefer people calling me Salman."

So what does Sallu prefer? "Kids call me, 'aye Salman how you doing...Mr Khan... oye Salman Khan, I love it.

"But when some people call me bhai I think they are faking it. I hate it when some people call me Sallu. But when they call me that out of love, it shows.

"It's the tone that matters. I think this 'Sallu' was started by Jackie Shroff. Now he calls me Salley!"
