I do... not! Dia Mirza squashes marriage rumours

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza moved quickly this morning to squash rumours that she secretly married filmmaker boyfriend Sahil Singha, whom she has been dating for around a year now.

“Your sources are totally incorrect. I have done no such thing. When I marry I will be happy to announce it to the world. Marriage is a celebration of a union, not a secret mission :) and a celebration is not possible without sharing it,” Dia said.

Last year, media reports in Pakistan had claimed that she had secretly married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar. She had vehemently denied it and of course, that piece of news was not true.

Now, sources from the unit of her next film ‘Love Breakups Zindagi’, directed by Singha, insist they allegedly got secretly married during the shooting of the film.
“They were staying at the West Inn Hotel in Delhi while the unit was there. In fact, they got secretly married three months ago the buzz spread throughout the unit,” informs the source confidentially.

Dia’s relationship with Singha surfaced in December last year and neither made any bones to keep their relationship a secret. Even in the past, Dia has never hidden any of her relationships.

Recently when we had caught up with her and asked her when she would be getting married, since she is already 29, she had said, “You are right, women need to get married before it becomes too late. Late marriages have their positive as well as negative effects. But unless I feel satisfied that the man I am going to be with is the right man, how can I get married?”

While Dia has had a good career in the movies, currently, her career had slowed down. The last big banner film she had been seen in was the Karan Johar-produced, Renzil D’silva directed ‘Kurbaan’ (2009), in which she played second fiddle to Kareena Kapoor.
