IPL 7 UAE: Dale - 'the Steyn-Gun' - flying high, diving deep

The stats are not out yet, but in terms of cricketing prowess the flat pitches of the UAE, Sharjah especially, have left the fearsome fast bowlers at the mercy of the marauding IPL 7 T20 specialist batsmen.

The likes of Mitchell Johnson and South Africa’s Steyn 'Gun' Dale, have more or less simply provided pace for batsmen to work with, rather than get wickets.

Off the pitch - it is a different story.

Emirates 24|7 has been tracking the daredevil exploits of the T20 cricketers from across the world here in Dubai for the IPL and its Dale Steyn who comes out on top.

The South African’s charming demeanour, as he courted the camera here for a video, is not to be confused with his thirst for adventure; of which Dubai provides plenty.

People working closely with him say Dale is "innately chilled out", happiest in the natural world, he loves fishing and loves to display his catch.
