Is Deepika Padukone extending her friendship to Katrina Kaif?

The fact that Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif cannot see eye to eye is a known fact (thanks to Ranbir Kapoor).

Whenever these two actresses share space the surroundings turn icy cold, though their relationship is pretty heated.

Now Deepika might be finding ways to bring down the temperature.

As Katrina turns a year older today Deepika grabs the opportunity to wish her arch rival on social media.

While we expect many well-wishers tweeting about the 'Dhoom:3' actress, Deepika Padukone's tweet comes as a pleasant surprise.

The 'Chennai Express' actress wrote: "Happy Birthday #Katrina!Lots of love & hope you have the bestest year ever!:-)".

Ah! that's very sweet of Deepika. Wonder what will be Katrina or Ranbir's reaction to this wish.

Well, we hope their past and present relationship with Ranbir Kapoor shouldn't come in their way of being nice and cordial to each other.

While Katrina is in Vancouver filming the last schedule of 'Pantom', it is speculated that she might celebrate her birthday with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.

Deepika and Ranbir:

Deepika Padukone and ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor are in Corsica, an island in France, shooting for ‘Tamasha’, directed by Imtiaz Ali.

This will be Deepika and Ranbir’s second movies together post their break-up. They were last seen in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.

Their sizzling chemistry in the 2013 movie received huge appreciation and did a rocking business at the box-office.

During the promotional tour of their last movie they showed their adulation for each other but looks like they prefer keeping safe distance from one other another.

Padukone has apparently been put in a different hotel while Ranbir and rest of the cast and crew members are staying at another hotel.

Some speculate that Deepika wants to avoid bumping into Katrina as she often drops by on the sets to meet boyfriend Ranbir.

Deepika also wants her privacy, in case her current beau Ranveer Singh drops by.
