Indian actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is currently single, post her split from filmmaker Sajid Khan, has plans to concentrate big-time on her career.

And no sooner did news of her break-up came in the open the actress has hit a jackpot.

In what is the most strategic career move for her, the athletic and attractive actress has bagged one of the most coveted films of the year.

Sources say that the former Sri Lankan beauty queen will be cast opposite Salman Khan in the action caper, 'Kick'.

She will start shooting with Salman on July 24 that is being produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

The filmmaker has been in the lookout for the leading lady opposite Salman and several names popped up including Deepika Padukone.

'Kick' — a remake of the 2009 Telugu hit of the same name — goes on the floors in July and will be Salman’s big Eid release next year.

Nadiadwala has also roped in Hollywood cinematographer Alexander Witt, who has worked on films like Pirates Of The Caribbean (2003) and Skyfall (2012).

Jackie received rave reviews for her last two movies 'Housefull 2' (2012) and 'Race 2' but missed out on some coveted roles, courtesy then boyfriend Sajid Khan.

It is reported that Sajid was too protective towards his lady and had objections to her wearing certain clothes and doing certain roles.

The couple ended their relationship as a mutual decision to help their separate careers as Sajid's possessiveness was reportedly stalling Jackie's career.

Sajid apparently prohibited Jacqueline from acting opposite Hrithik Roshan as the role demanded her to kiss the hero on-screen in 'Krrish 3'.

She also lost out on 'Jism 2' as she had to shoot sensual scenes with Arunoday Singh and Randeep Hooda and Sajid did not approve of this.

Bagging work with Salman Khan will obviously boost her career and we hope Jacqueline continues the good work.
