Jaya Bachchan gets over-protective about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

So the next time you get a chance to meet actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, think before you address her and you better not call her Ash or Aishwarya.

Looks like the Bachchans are very particular about the way Mrs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is addressed, specially her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, oops Mrs Jaya Bachchan.

Her mother-in-law simply doesn’t appreciate the fact that people call Aishwarya by her name.

A rather protective mother-in-law we must say.

At director Subhash Ghai's party on Thursday night, Jaya Bachchan snapped at a photographer who addressed her daughter-in-law only as Aishwarya.

The poor lens man busy clicking pictures of celebrities joining Ghai's party called out Aishwarya Rai to face the camera. While doing his job the photographer got a tongue-lashing from Jaya.
 
Jaya did not take kindly to Aishwarya's first name being used by the photographers. She turned around and thundered: "Why are you calling her Aishwarya, Aishwarya? Was she your classmate?

That must have been frightful!

The photographers in question were rather taken aback by Jaya's approach.

All these while madam Aishwarya Rai Bachchan maintained a straight face.

A photographer present at the venue told Indian daily Mumbai Mirror, "What else does one call her? Sometime ago, Abhishek Bachchan too had screamed at us for referring to his wife as Ash telling us that her name is Aishwarya and not Ash. Do they expect us to call her Mrs Bachchan?"

Guess the Bachchans should issue a statement or announce on social media (like they do most things) the way they want media to address their honourable daughter-in-law.
