Jennifer Aniston is "overjoyed and overwhelmed" by her eight carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.
The 43-year-old actress was thrilled when boyfriend Justin Theroux proposed to her on Friday (10.08.12) and she couldn't be happier with the actor-and-screenwriter's choice of jewellery for her.
A source told Life & Style magazine: "It's a huge emerald-cut diamond. It's a rectangle with tapered diamond baguettes on the sides. It's beautiful.
"Just after Jen got engaged, she called all her friends and told them about it. She was so happy and said she loves the ring. I think she was overwhelmed and overjoyed by the size and beauty of it!"
The couple have been friends for years but only started dating after filming the movie 'Wanderlust' together.
This will be 43-year-old Jennifer's second marriage; she was previously wed to Brad Pitt for five years until they divorced in 2005.
Justin previously dated Heidi Bivens for 14 years before beginning a relationship with the former 'Friends' star.
While Jennifer prefers not to comment on her romantic relationships, she has previously called Justin her "protector" and admitted he has had a massively positive impact on her life.
She said: "He's a protector, for sure. He's just a good human being and so funny."
Jennifer recently bought a $21 million home in Beverly Hills for the couple to live in.
The property, which comes with its own vineyard, is currently being refurbished before they move in.
Jennifer Aniston's estranged mother will be invited to her wedding.
The 43-year-old actress got engaged to Justin Theroux on Friday (10.08.12) and although Nancy Dow wasn't asked to attend her nuptials to Brad Pitt, Justin has convinced Jennifer to put the past behind her.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Nancy and Jennifer have had their ups and downs, but they're going to let bygones be bygones and she will be invited to her daughter's wedding ceremony.
"She was told of the invitation by her son, John Melick [Jennifer's half-brother], which she was obviously delighted with.
"Sadly, the initial fallout between Nancy and Jennifer in 1999 meant that she wasn't on the guest list for the 2000 wedding to Brad - something that always haunted her.
"But the pair have healed their differences and, with the help of Justin, Nancy will get an invite this time around.
"Justin comes from a tight-knit family, who he is very close to. He preaches family values to Jennifer and he said to her he'd love a private, low-key ceremony with all their family members present.
"She agreed, said she'd forgiven her mom for her past discrepancies and that Nancy should be a guest at her second wedding."
Jennifer cut her mother out of her life after Nancy released a tell-all book in 1999 'From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir'.
However, they have reconciled and Jennifer rushed to her mother's Los Angeles hospital bedside last year when she suffered a stroke.
