Justin Bieber’s second date with Dubai took an unexpected turn when a crazed fan stormed the singer on stage mid performance and managed to unhinge the piano, which bore the brunt of the tackle.
Bieber was in the midst of the final few minutes of his concert, when a youth ran up on stage past the security and grabbed the 19-year-old singer from behind.
Bieber was able to extract himself, while security personnel dashed right after to secure the singer.
Unfortunately, the piano where Bieber was playing the chords didn’t survive to tell the tale.
While the debris was being cleared, the Canadian heartthrob continued to perform his final set of ‘Baby’ and ‘Boyfriend’ before departing.
It has been a rough 24 hours for Bieber, who also appeared over two hours and 20 minutes late for his second show in Dubai, a night after his May 4 performance that also saw his tardiness causing many frustrated fans take to Twitter to vent their anger.
Last night’s show, however, came hours after E! Online’s Twitter account was hacked that sent out tweets about Bieber’s sexual preference.
Meanwhile, online blog Reddit reported that Bieber also upset local authorities by driving to the Sevens Stadium yesterday at 240kmph, in a rented Lamborghini, without paying heed to any traffic lights or speed limits.
No official confirmation has been forthcoming on this, but the news did spark frenzy amongst fans as to whether the singer will be fined for his grievances.
Despite the drama unfolding in the background, fans lapped up his second performance, which saw the singer interact with the crowds, playing home videos from his childhood, whilst belting out performances of all his biggest hits.
However, the delay in the singer taking to stage also saw many of his younger fans fall asleep even before they could see their idol, with school night also meaning that several parents left the venue early to take their sleeping children home.
